SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointment:
Sherri A. Sarro, 59, of Escondido, has been appointed assistant director of response, south at the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, where she has served as a deputy chief since 2015. Sarro was a captain at the San Diego County Sherriff’s Department from 1987 to 2015. She is a member of the California Sheriff’s Association, California Police Chiefs Association, Cal Police Chiefs Women Leaders in Law Enforcement – San Diego and the California Emergency Services Association.
